The 5th case

Slightly more than a month ago, while I was out on a romantic dinner with Jules, I bumped into my friend’s fiancĂ©. When I was about to go over and say “hi”, I realised that the person she (i.e. my friend’s fiancĂ©) was having a romantic dinner with was… not my friend…

“Maybe it’s not her” Jules said…

Having gotten a better look, I was quite sure that person was her. She has that unique look about her, I can't be wrong. But of course, the million-dollar-question of the night was… “Who’s the guy having a romantic dinner with her?”

It was a perfect place for a romantic date… dimmed light, candles, good food, one which even comes with a jazz band. She certainly did dressed-up for the occasion. Surely, they can't be just friends.

Perhaps he is her close cousin… Perhaps he is a visitor from another country… Perhaps he’s her boss!… There were a lot of “perhaps”. But all these “perhaps” disappeared when they both got… well… a bit intimate…

I did not inform my friends of this. I suppose domestic affairs should remain as domestic as possible. Besides, me and this friend of mine is not close enough for me to walk up to him and say… “Hey, I saw your babe out on a date with a dude yesterday!” So I kept my mouth shut.

Today, it was officially announced that the wedding is off… they have broken up…

This will be the … let me count… 1…2… 5th case where the girl made a
u-turn after saying “I do” to the rock. As the official reason is unknown, guess we can only speculate. And with that encounter I had… there is certainly much to speculate…

Between saying nice things and facts

About 5 years ago, I attended a wedding ceremony of an ex-colleague. It was a Christian wedding ceremony held at the garden of hotel before the wedding reception. I must say, it was rather romantic ala Hollywood style.

Just like any other Christian ceremony, there was the bridal march-in followed by a brief worship session and of course, a short sermon by the officiating pastor. As usual, the pastor spoke about the usual wedding stuff and then he mentioned something which caught my attention. He said something to the effect…

“… what a truly beautiful couple, truly match-made in heaven. I am sure God put them together in a wonderful way. It’s truly God’s plan for them to be together…”

Certainly, there’s nothing wrong with those words. In fact, one would expect these words to be typically uttered during a wedding ceremony. But to me, it’s odd. It’s very odd. I am sure you are wondering why…

It’s odd because I was aware of how the married couple first got together. It wasn’t exactly heavenly. When they first started seeing each other, both were still attached to their respective bf/gf. It went on for almost a year before they broke the news to their respective bf/gf, which led to a very ugly confrontation.

Speculatively speaking, I wonder if this so called match-made-in-heaven-which-God-put-together-in-a-wonderful-way were sleeping with each other and with their respective bf/gf at the same time. Scandalous isn’t it, do you think?

Don’t get me wrong. Whatever they did doesn’t concern me at all. They can have all the affairs they want and screw around for all I care.

Just that when the pastor started going on a verbal diarrhoea about all the nice things that you can ever imagine about the married couple and particularly, saying that God put them together in a wonderful way, it was just so odd for me and a few others who know the history.

No disrespect to pastors. But I just think they should know more of the history of the married couple when preparing the sermon of their ceremony and not just go all flowery and say all the nice things. And that is why I like my pastor. His sermon during my wedding covered mostly about all the “challenges” we will be facing as married couple. Now, that’s reality.

On a related note, an emcee at this particular wedding dinner made the biggest boo-boo ever. She proudly announced that the married couple are finally tying the knot after so many years of courtship. What the emcee didn’t know was that the wedding happened because the bride was 3 months pregnant. And, she only met (focus on the word “met”) the groom 3 months earlier.

Saying “No” to a rock

Following my post on “How big is your rock?”, many has expressed his or her opinion regarding this particular rock issue. I particularly enjoyed a couple of the comments there where they were absolutely hilarious.

Coming back to protracted discussion, I have only heard of one instance where a girl has actually said “No” when a guy presented her with the rock. That is the famous Jen in the
“He asked 5 times” post where she rejected Ben’s proposal not once, but 5 times. But of course, the reason for her rejection has got nothing to do with the rock itself.

And that was it, the only time I heard about a girl giving a “No” to the guy when he went down on his knees and proposed to the girl with a sparkling diamond professionally set on a carefully refined ring. Besides that, I have never heard of any proposal rejection. Have you?

And here lies a painful reality, one that has been taking place after that wonderful “Yes!”.

I personally know of 4 instances within my close circle of friends where the girl, having struck with the euphoria of being presented with that wonderful rock, said “Yes!”… and when the high is over, decided otherwise. Of course, this change of mind happened before the actual marriage. Anyone heard of such stories?

In all of those instances, not a single one of them bears similarity with
Jen’s scenario, where she just thought that the timing was not right. In all of those instances, the girl just happened to come into realisation that the guy was not right. More of often that not, the couple has already been in a relationship for some time.

I will never know how it feels to have a guy whom you love (or you thought you love) going down on his knees and propose to me with a beautiful big rock, and I don’t think I ever want to know how it feels. I only know how it feels to be so nervous going down on my knees to present the rock. And hence, I do not know what goes in the mind of a girl when a so-called romantic proposal takes place.

But the question remains, can a girl fully engrossed in the high of the moment capable of saying “No” to the rock?

I know some are thinking that there will always be hint from the guy or the girls already hinted she wants to get married or perhaps the proposal is a planned one. But what if it was really a surprise? What if your boyfriend turns out at your doorstep right now with 100 bouquets of roses and a 1 carat ring and proposes… right now… are you going to say “No?”

History seems to suggest that the probability of a rejection is relatively low.

But that does not change the fact that there is a growing trend out there where a girl said “Yes” to the rock and “No” to the cock… I mean “No” to the man. And this can result in a lost of grieve, for both the girl the guy which can be a whole post altogether.

But for now, should a girl learn to say “No”, will a girl say it? I don’t know… you tell me…

How big is your rock?

A friend of mine just bought a big diamond ring. Obviously, it was not for himself but for the usual purpose of a diamond ring… marriage proposal. This friend (who reads this blog) told me he spent more than RM20,000 for that ring. I suppose the diamond is more than 1 carat. I personally estimate the whole thing to be about RM23,000.

I noticed a worrying trend amongst guys lately, although I shouldn’t be worrying anymore. There appears to be a genuine fear that their loving girlfriend will actually say “No” if that piece of rock that they present on the ring is not big enough.

I am not saying that this friend of mine who just spent more than RM20,000 on his rock is afraid that his sweetheart will say no. But really, there is a genuine fear out there.

Funny enough, such fear also present in guys who claim that their girlfriend loves them not because of their money. Perhaps a matter of ego then?

To me, if I propose and the girl rejects because the rock is not big enough, I will most definitely bid her farewell and find a girl who will appreciates whatever size of the rock that I propose with.

I am sure many of your will come out with your own reasoning such as “sincerity” or “symbolic of the guy’s love” etc. etc. If that is the case, are you saying that you judge your boyfriend’s sincerity based on the size of the rock? What about the size of his cock? Okay… I am sure you know that size his cock is and is satisfied with that already…

But anyway…

I certainly agree that if a guy can afford a big rock, then perhaps he shouldn’t get a sesame seed size one for his darling. But really, to all the girls out there… if you are being surprised by your long-loving boyfriend with a romantic proposal and he present to you a rock that is not up to your expectation… will you say no?

P/S: Do you remember
the millionaire? He proposed… without even a ring. He is now married.

Sex 101: Basic instructions are essential

Case 1

A couple for married and after 3 years of marriage, the wife still failed to conceive. They started talking to friends and exchange ideas on the timing and technique of performing the bedroom-deeds in order to improve the chance of getting a child. Despite all that, there was no result. Not even a hint of result.

Left with no choice, they decided to seek medical help. A fertility test on the husband showed that he was perfectly normal. But lo and behold, the doctor’s examination on the wife showed that she was… still a virgin!

Apparently, the effort to create new soul turned futile as the pole has been entering the wrong hole.

I know it’s bizarre but hey, did you read the news about this German guy who is suing his neighbour whom he employed to have sex with his wife because he failed to impregnate his wife? Like I said… anything is possible in this world…

Case 2

This case is real because it was relayed to me by the relative of the couple…

Quite the same thing… a couple got married and after a couple of years, the wife failed to conceive. In this case though, they were really shy and did not talk about their predicament with their friends. They decided to seek medical help immediately, which turned out to be a very wise decision.

The consultation started out normally with the usual what’s-your-problem question and as the doctor probed further asking how the couple has been performing in bed, the reply from the wife was…

“Buat apa? Kita tidur bersama-sama lah?” (Do what? We just sleep together.)

Apparently, this couple had absolutely no idea that a new soul can only be created when the pole enters the hole followed by an in-out motion which will lead to the production of a white lotion. They believe a child is born by merely sleeping together.

On hindsight, this couple produced a dozen children after the consultation.

He asked 5 times

Ben and Jen are of the same age and have been dating each other for quite some time. For some very strange reason, it was Jen who seemed to be afraid of committing to the relationship. She made it quite clear to Ben that she will only marry him when she reaches 30. Uncommon isn’t it? Not to Jen.

Uncommonly amongst the uncommon, it was Ben who wanted to commit. And so, at the age of 26, after dating for quite a number of years; Ben bought an engagement ring and planned a romantic marriage proposal. I shall not go into the details but needless to say, Jen turned him down. She reiterated that she only wants to tie the knot at 30.

So Ben had with him a ring and a girlfriend who will not marry him for at least 5 years. What did Ben do?

Some may call it true love… Ben proposed to Jen every year, and Jen rejected Ben every year all the way till she was 29. Can you imagine… for 4 consecutive years, Ben will go on his knees… take out the ring (the same ring)… proposed……… and got rejected. Absolutely amazing…

When Jen finally reaches 30… guess what Ben did?
And on a related note, would you have done what Ben did?

His friends her friends

In a relationships environment, would you agree that there is always an underlying debate about how friends are segregated into “his friends” and “her friends”. Somehow, it is difficult to consider “his friends” or “her friends” as “our friends”.

The only time when someone can actually become “our friends” is when a couple meets this new person after being together. If otherwise, friends tend to belong to either him or her. True?

Long ago, I had a debate with a now ex-colleague regarding this. She did not believe in this friends segregation notion. She was very adamant that her boyfriend’s friends were all her friends too. Of course, I didn’t agree with her.

To justify my stand, I asked her a simple question… “Will you hang out with your boyfriend’s friends without the presence of your boyfriend?”

She didn’t answer my question, well, not exactly. Her reply was something to the effect of “Yeah, I get what you mean”.

I think one of the most important criteria of being “our friends” is when the guy or girl is willing, and comfortable in hanging out with his/her friends without the presence of the partner. Without that, friends will always remain as his or hers.

Agree?

A new trend with the couples

There is currently a growing trend amongst us. I noticed that there are quite a number of couples around who are registered but not married. Yes, you heard me right… registered and not married. When you pose the question “Are you married?” to them, their answer will not be a straight yes or no but rather… “registered”.

And no, I am not referring to those who get registered with a wedding ceremony in the pipeline. I am referring to those who have registered with no immediate plan of a wedding ceremony.

So is getting registered considered married?

Apparently, the answer is yes and no, depending on the situation. It can be confusing.

Firstly, being registered doesn’t mean you’re married, at least not during Chinese New Year. Apparently, registered couples do not need to give ang-pows. Why? Well, they are only registered and no wedding ceremony has been performed yet. Hence, they are not married. And… some registered couples even expect married couples to give them ang-pows!

So no, registered couples are not considered as married during CNY.

Interestingly, the answer will be a ‘yes’ when you are talking about married couple activities. Yes, I am talking about sex. Registered couples can officially move in together, bonk in the kitchen and then talk about it and that’s perfectly fine. “Registered already mahhh…” will be their respond to any query. Yes… post-registration-sex does not fall within the ambit of pre-marital sex.

Strange enough; after about a year or so and you ask them…
“So when are you going to have a baby?”
“Where can, not married yet lah”
”(*&*#*&@^&^#@^”

And so, while post-registration-sex is not pre-marital-sex, post-registration-pregnancy needs to be avoided, just like pre-marital-pregnancy.

But you know what the best part is? It’s when you want to refer to this person’s partner…

“Hey Jane, how are you? How is your husband doing?”
“My husband? Ohhh… no lah, he is not my husband yet. We’re not married lah”
(But do note, they are bonking)
“So how is your errr… boyfriend? Err no… fiancĂ©? Wait, what is he then?”

Any difference?

I had a very good argument conversation regarding a while ago. At the end of it, no conclusion was made. Can't help it really. Such discussion seldom comes to a conclusion.

I know it’s Friday but I am sure many, if not all of you would be interested in the subject matter…

Is there a difference between…

A girl is in love with the guy’s money.

Vs

A girl is in love with the guy because of his money.

Most girls are of the opinion that there is difference between the two. Their argument is that former is purely because of money while the latter; there are feelings and emotions involved. Of course, they back it up with the girls-have-family-sense-and-the-money-is-for-the-children-and-future argument.

As for my take, there is absolutely no difference. Either way, once the bloke losses his $note, the girl will be gone.

I am sure you have something say… debate away…

Hypocrites aplenty

I once talked about a friend of mine whose ex-fiancĂ© called off the marriage 3 months before the wedding date because she fell for another bloke. “Maybe she has her reason”, “maybe the guy treated her badly” were the notion of the comments from girls. And sure enough, during that ordeal, the girlfriends of that girl stood by her side.

Was my friend a bad person?

Well, he was once branded the “model boyfriend” by the ex-fiancĂ©’s sister. And when I said model, it’s role-model, not one who graces the stage. He was also once said to be the nicest guys around. I do not need to elaborate further. But I know, girls will still have the “maybe there are things we don’t know” ringing in their mind.

Allow me to quote the exact word said to me by one of the ex-fiance’s friend (girl of course). She said… “Yes, what she did was wrong, but as her friend, I will support her”.

I cannot elaborate this story further because this friend of mine drop by AZAIG occasionally and I do not want to bring back the hurtful time he went through during that torturous ordeal, not to mention the clean up of the wedding stuff that he had to do… by himself.

Leave this story aside for a while…

A friend of mine just got divorced. The reason is that ex-wife decided to stay in the land of greener pasture while my friend has a business here and is unable to fulfil the migration dream. It was a mutual agreement.

Now, this friend of mine has got a new gf. Lo and behold… girls are bombarding my friend with comments such as… “shame on you”… “what happened to graciousness and respect?”

Before I continue, I would like to reiterate that I do not condone what this friend of mine did. The timing was indeed a bit too rush. Nevertheless, there is nothing technically wrong in what my friend did.

Further, some of us found the comments made by the girls very hypocritical. In fact, it’s damn hypocritical. Do you know why?

Because, the person who made the “shame on you” remark is the ex-fiancĂ© of the friend in the first story, the one who dumped my friend a few months before the wedding to go with another guy. And she wants to talk about shame.

As for the one who talked about graciousness and respect, she is also an ex-gf of another friend of mine. While this friend wasn’t the best bf around, she too wasn’t the most respectful gf during their time.

Jesus said, let those who are without sin cast the first stone. This is why I neither support, nor condone what my friend did.

Ask before you hump?

I think I took more time reading the comments in my previous entry than writing it. My “twin”, Johnson Tee said he took nearly 2 hours to pen his first comment. As always, AZAIG encourages debate so it is certainly healthy. But I have to admit, my brain tends to slow down as Friday draws near and it will certainly be difficult for me to reply all the intellectually written comments.

And since it is Friday, I think I would like to touch on something lighter.

The recent thumping and humping entries led to a certain discussion between me and some of my friends/colleagues. The question is… should a guy ask before he has sex with a girl? Obviously, we are talking about a couple doing it for the first time and they aren’t married. Before I continue, I would like to reiterate that I do not condone pre-marital sex but at the same time, I do not have the right to tell you not to do it. It’s your choice.

So yeah… should a guy ask before he humps?

Most girls said yes, they believe a guy should ask before making the plunge. Regardless that you already know the answer, you should still ask. Of course, if it is a purely sexually driven relationship, I don’t think there is any need in asking. But, I just find it awkward to actually sort of seek permission before you do the deed. Do you say…

“Hey darling, should we do some bedroom exercise tonight?” or “Hey baby, I think it’s time for us to do deed. How about tonight?” or “Sweetie, should we enhance our love by making some tonight?” or in the most straight forward manner… “We’re f**king tonight ok?”
And if you get the green light, you plan for a night of glory. I don’t know about you but I just find it a bit awkward. Maybe that’s just me. I think if it is to happen, it will happen rather naturally. And if it is to happen naturally, do you still ask? Some girls actually said yes… you must still ask.

What? Imagine this…

Your hands are all over each other…
While kissing, both landed on the bed…
You begin to strip each other…
Both of you are stark naked…
Hands wondering freely…
The guy is already on top…
The girl spread and the guy takes position…
Then suddenly the guy stop ask… “Can I put it in ah?”

You don’t do that, do you? Imagine the girl say no, that would probably put life to the phrase “potong steam”.

And… imagine the girl says yes and the guy says… “Nah, some other day. Let’s dress up”. Is there a phrase call “potong juice?”

V for virginity, P for purity

I had a very interesting conversation regarding the above notion with my evil twin last week. I call him my evil twin because we were born on the same day, only a couple of hours apart. He raised some questions that really made me think.

I am no expert, but I am darn sure masturbation will not make one loses one’s virginity, in case you are still wondering about that. It’s really funny how some people believe masturbation will. But then again, what exactly is virginity? What really constitute a virgin?

Let’s not go into the medical definition of hymen and all. I am sure all of us are very familiar with that already. But there are quite a number of understanding, and I am sure many of us posses our very own interpretation as well. But how diverse do you think our understanding can be?

I was once told of a story of this girl who only let her bf do the deed via the backdoor. Her reason… she wanted to preserve her V for her husband. No kidding. To her, preserving front tunnel exploration means preserving her V. I disagree. What do you think?

Anyway, the discussion with my evil twin about virginity led to a discussion about purity. It’s very intriguing indeed. Sad to speak, virginity is hard to come by nowadays. So the question of purity comes into place.

Before I continue, please accept my apology for focusing the discussion on girls. Anyway, consider this…

Girl A has got 2 bfs before and one of them have actually explored her frontal love canal. All is not lost though. After the maiden exploration, the guy left her. So she only let her ex do the deed once, just once.

Girl B has got so many bfs till she lost count. But she never let any of them do the deed with her. She kept her front canal and backdoor tight, no one got to her panty. However, she has given blowjobs to all of her bfs on a regular basis.
Who do you think is more pure?

I am sure many will agree that Girl A is no longer a virgin, but the above scenarios posted to me by my evil twin did got me thinking. Indeed, the issue of purity have a role to play here. Guys, whom will you choose?

A lot of readers said that virginity is over-rated nowadays and to a certain extent, it is true. Very sad, but true. From an emphatic point of view, there are many girls who lost theirs to jerks thinking that particular guy is the one. Or perhaps they are left in a difficult situation to reject. So I think guys should not place much emphasis on the V notion, though I know some of my friends are very adamant about having a virgin for a bride.

Many have commented in previous humping related entries saying that in this day and age, people are just happily humping away. It’s human evolution, and there is nothing we can do about it. Some truth in it, unfortunately.
But to the guys, I just want to say… if you love her, and you have not ‘touched’ her… isn’t she a ‘virgin’ to you?

And… she placed her hand on your inner thigh…

A new girl just joined your company. Besides having a face of an angel and the figure of the devil, she also knows how to dress to kill. Each time you lay your eyes on her, you’re sent to heaven and back. While she bears a friendly character, you found out that she is particularly friendlier to you. And there are times when you want to take a short tip to heaven by taking a glimpse of her, you caught her catching a glimpse of you too… you think to yourself…

“I think she has got the hots for me…”

There was a company gathering and following that, a bunch of you went to a nearby pub for more drinks. She joined as soon as you asked to go along. At the pub, she sat next to you; you think she did that on purpose. It was then that you realised that her bosom, hidden beneath those lacy black bra were very shapely. You could tell, as her blouse was rather… transparent. Each time the spot light landed on her, you can't help but to catch a guilty glimpse.

It was getting late and everyone began to leave, except for her. Before you know it, there were only you and her. The conversation that followed was really interesting. However, there is a thought which kept popping from the back of your head… “you’re married (or you’re attached, depending)”… it just kept coming to you.
Just as when you were about to maintain a cool head… she placed her hands on your inner thigh and leaned towards you… It’s obvious, she was there for the taking…

What would you do?

Purple~Mushroom asked me this question and then requested that I asked this on my blog cause she said her blog’s traffic is rather low, to which I disagree. Anyway, I took the liberty to ‘enhance’ the post…

It is very difficult to answer hypothetical question, particularly one which test the side of you which you don’t intend to tell the world. Many will say that being a married or attached man, one should not have landed himself in such situation. But purple-mushroom was quite adamant in getting a sincere answer out of us.

“If you wanna fuck her, say you gonna fuck her”… that’s what she implies. So let us put away our it-will-not-happen-to-me thinking and give her a sincere answer…

I am sure many will want to know my sincere answer… well… my sincere answer would be…

I will politely excuse myself and rush to the toilet and immediately Ta-Fei-Kei… Ahhhh… after which, her charm is absolutely powerless…

So what’s your sincere answer? Do not copy my answer!

Have a good weekend. But don’t spend it Ta-Fei-Kei-ing ok?

P/S: Ta-Fei-Kei = masturbate

Will you attend?

I was in Ipoh last Saturday for a colleague’s wedding dinner. Trips to Ipoh is always very damaging to the stomach, as one tends to always put it to maximum capacity. Can't help it though, have to say the kuay teow soup there is truly one of a kind, in a good way of course.

Anyway, our bunch was early for the dinner and we took our place at the table. Jules was with me and we started taking pictures, the usual stuff. It was then that a familiar figure walked in…

“That was my ex”
“That girl?”
“Yeah”
“Is she married yet?”
“No, not that I know of”
“Are we inviting her to our wedding?”
“No”
“Will she invite you to her wedding when she gets married?”
“Dunno”
“Will you go if she invites you?”
“No”

It was then that Jules told me about how her friends have got this belief that if one is not willing to attend the wedding of one’s ex, one is not truly over his/her ex. Jules was quite adamant about it and we engaged on a short discussion about that notion.

Do you think that is true?

I believe not, at least not entirely. I think the willingness or the possibility of one attending one’s ex’s wedding depends on the manner of the break-up. I have some friends whom I know will not attend their ex’s wedding, no way at all. And I don’t think it’s because they are not over the ex yet.

Having said that, I also believe not many of us will attend our ex’s wedding for various reasons. What do you think? If you’re invited for your ex’s wedding, will you attend?

Some of us here are too young to think about weddings so how about being invited for ex’s birthday party. Will you attend?
Before I end, would like to specially thank Jessie aka HijackQueen for giving me the
“Nice Matters Award” and to Swei for giving me the “Break Out Blogger” award and the “Blogging that hits the mark” award. Special thanks to you two.
Have a nice time thinking about whether you will attend your ex’s invitation.

Orgasm comparison

It’s Monday and I was thinking whether I should put in a heavy entry. I reckon not. Besides, my brain is a bit cramped up due the fact that I had to work yesterday. Don’t ask.

As I was thinking about what to pen down today, my memory brought me back to the a few months back when I stumbled upon a blog entry which talks about orgasm. As the blogger wishes to remain anonymous, I shall not link there.

Some of you may have read it, that blogger was talking about men and orgasm. It talks about how orgasm is… an orgasm. Whether you’re making love to your wife… or to your girlfriend… or to a whore… or to that hot babe that you bumped into last night… it’s the same orgasm. That blogger was indirectly talking about infidelity.

Anyway, do you agree?

That blogger has a point. I don’t see much difference in the orgasm a man can have with his wife and the orgasm with another girl. Maybe the timing of the orgasm is a little different but at the end of the day, it’s the same feeling of having cum rushing out your dickhead just like how nature intended it to be. So cum rushing out from a man’s dickhead into his wife’s v-g-g or a young babe’s v-g-g is still… cum rushing out from a man’s dickhead.

So if it’s the same feeling or orgasm, why do men go looking somewhere?

Ok, imagine this… imagine the car you’ve been driving. Say you really maintain the car brilliantly and the condition is really good. Of course, there are things that are beyond your control such as the engine’s condition but the seats, the air-condition, the braking system, basically everything else are very well maintain.

Now, imagine 10 years driving that same car… someone comes along and said he would like to exchange his car with you. He will take your 10 years car away and give you a “brand new car of the exact same model”. Imaging you’re driving a Honda Civic 1997 model and a gives you a brand new Honda Civic 1997 model in exchange with your old one. EXACT-SAME-MODEL… but BRAND NEW. What say you?

Are you doing to at say “No… I’ll pass” or what? Men… do you think you can say ‘No’?

P/S: Zewt is in NO WAY condoning infidelity.
P/S/S: Having cum rushing out into a tissue paper or onto a certain type of magazine is a different issue altogether.

When the ‘if’ turns real

When I looked at the multitude of answers in my previous entry, I noticed a lot didn’t really answer the question, at least not specifically. Essentially, the question was directed to guys as to who they will fear “more”. As for girls, I was hoping you all will tell me whom should the guy ‘fear more’. The key words are ‘fear more’.

Many though… came out and talked about who they will ‘choose’. But of course, that’s very natural. In fact, it was what I expected. I know it sounds a bit absurd but I was really expecting a lot of “If I were the girl, I will choose…” kind of answer. And indeed, there many such answers.

I have personally encountered many such girls. Some of my friends, some are my friends’ girlfriends. To be honest with you, not many will say they are money-minded. And of course, I am not saying that they are. When they said they only wanted a man who is charming and caring enough to take care of them, I believe girls really do mean it. But then again, the term ‘take care’ is rather subjective.
Allow me to share some stories with you… very briefly…

2 of my friends’ girlfriend fiancĂ©s were privileged enough to be given the opportunity of being ‘the wanted girl’. And hey! What a co-incident… both couples were being attacked by a No.2 type of guy. Well, this is a chance for girls to actually show their noble self and say… I-will-choose-a-guy-who-cares-about-me or I-will-choose-the-guy-whom-I-want-to-spend-the-rest-of-my-life-with.

And you know what? That’s exactly what they did!!! They chose the guy who cares about them… the one whom they want to spend their life with… they chose the 3rd party. And I mentioned fiancĂ©, no girlfriend. Cancelling a wedding is an unpleasant affair. Cancelling a wedding because your fiancĂ© left you is a painful process.

I know… I know… I know… you all don’t even have to say it. I know it all. It was better right for my guy friends right? Better for them to know that their partner was actually a gold digger, and that it was a good thing that they didn’t get married… right? Rightttttttt… but you know what? If you’re in their position… let’s just say it is not as ‘good’ as you think. But anyway, that’s not the notion here.

So are the 2 girls money-minded-gold-diggers? A quick answer would be yes. But then again, maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to judge.

Girls… imagine everyday you caring bf comes and fetch you from work with his old rugged proton wira. He is even thoughtful enough to buy you your favourite dinner, knowing that you would be hungry after waiting so long for him to arrive. Well, he also happened to be a modern slave thus he usually don’t leave work on time which result in you having to wait for him. After savings for months, 2 of you brave through the crowd in a travel fair and managed to secure the best deal for a trip to Redang, one of the best domestic beach resort. Yeah, I am sure the holiday hunt was fun, probably romantic. During the trip, you have to spend according to budget and while it was an enjoyable getaway, you would have wanted more. After the trip, you are back to the trend of saving for the next trip… which means… tight spending again.

But now… imagine a guy waiting for you to finish work with this Ferrari… BMW… Honda Accord. He is there as soon as you walked out of the office because he works for his father and thus, he can always leave work early. And he does that everyday… everyday… just to fetch you. You’re not hungry yet because it’s still early so he takes you to a nice boutique not to do window shopping… but real shopping. You immediately put on your new outfit and he takes you to a restaurant of your choice for dinner. On a day you don’t feel like eating out, he bought groceries and conjured some nice dishes from your kitchen.

On a particular Friday, he picks you up as usual in his Honda Accord and send you home immediately to pick up your passport and some clothes… he just bought 2 tickets to Hong Kong. You had the best trip of your life without spending a single cent and when you return home, you realised you can spend all the savings you intended for your Langkawi holiday.

*inspired by real life event*

Friends, there is a very big difference in saying “If I am the girl…” compared to “actually being the girl”. A lot of things will look very different when you are actually ‘the wanted girl’. Because by then… it’s not about “if he buys me a Gucci or LV bag” but you are actually using the Gucci bag. Do you want a Gucci or LV bag? Also, some mentioned about the current bf having the potential of being rich. Again, “my bf WILL BE rich” vs “my bf IS rich”… read the ‘imagine’ part again…

So girls… if a No.2 type of guy come shows up… what would you do? Remember, when the ‘if’ turns real… you can't say “if I am the girl” anymore.

What's your answer?

This entry is potentially provoking so… brace yourself…

My entry titled “
with or without a reason” received thunderous amount of comments. The issue of love and relationship is often very intriguing, don’t you think? From the comments, one will be able to grasp the general understanding of love between the male and the female species… truly enlightening.

One comment however, highlighted an element that influences much in any particular relationship. That element is……$money$. Now, this is the part where it starts to get provoking…

Many of my friends, and to be more specific… male friends are of the opinion that most girls are money minded. Girls, is it true? Of course, many girls will disagree and hey… you are not alone. There are many guys out there who share the same sentiment. I do have a few friends who think as such. They are very adamant that girls are not going after their money. Reason being… they are not rich… and they are having nice loving girlfriend respectively.

Well, I really couldn’t argue with them. I mean… they are indeed not very well to do and their girlfriends aren’t exactly ugly. In fact, some of them are pretty hot looking too. I know… I know… all the hot babes out there must be cursing my name but no, I am not saying that all you hot babes are money minded. I am just saying that my friends believed that their girlfriends could have gotten a richer guy compared to them, but chose to stay with them. So obviously, their girlfriends are NOT money minded.

Naturally, I asked my friends why do they think their girlfriends love them? Many reasons surfaced such as “I am nice”, “I am caring”, “I am kind”… ya’ know, the usual reasons, but of course, money is not the reason. For discussion purposes, we shall take ‘nice’ as the attribute which represents all the non-monetary reasons why girls like them.

And I reiterate, it never occurs to them that their girlfriends are money minded. And this is the time when I will ask them this question…

"Supposed there are 2 guys who now appear and try to wrestle your gf away from you. Not a very pleasant experience I am sure.

Guy number 1… is a very sweet guy. He is not exactly very good looking, probably as charming as you. He is also probably as rich as you. He could afford what you afford. BUT… BUT… this guy is 10 times nicer than you and also 10 times more caring than you.

Guy number 2… is also quite a sweet guy. But then again, you are much sweeter. Also, he is probably not as charming as you and in the tender loving care department, you 2 are comparable. BUT… BUT… this guy is 10 times richer than you. Whatever you could afford, this guy beats you 10 times."

The question is… which guy you fear more?

All my my-gf-is-not-money-minded friends never really gave me answer. Most gave me a smile and the best was “how can you say like that?”…

Why not? And… what’s your answer?

Girls… any thoughts?

With or without a reason?

I was once asked by a then-close-friend… “what do you like in that person that you are going after?” He was referring to my ex. I was taken by surprise and I could not answer him. He paused for a moment and told me that my inability to answer was the best answer one could give. I was puzzled, I bet you are too, right? He then delivered to me his motto… that when you like someone without a reason, that’s true love. At that time, I trusted him and I adopted that motto. That was 11 years ago.

As time goes by, I figured he was probably right.

Perhaps I have been exposed to quite a heavy dosage of western movies where couples break up or divorce because they no longer find their lover understanding, humorous, pretty, handsome, etc. That’s notwithstanding Hollywood celebrities, because I think they separate when they are bored of fuc*ing with each other.

Anyway, what I am trying to say is that I believe if you love someone because of a particular attribute… and when that someone no longer possess such attribute (it could happen), are you still going to love that someone? Not so much of physical attribute but character.

For example…… you meet up with a girl… she is sweet, demure and ladylike… and you love her for all that…you get married… you two have children and those lil ones drive her mad and she turned into a witch!... no longer sweet, demure and ladylike… are you going to stop loving her? Maybe… maybe not. Due to this, I believe there should not be a reason in loving someone, so as to not give you a reason to stop loving someone.

For 7 years I loved a girl and I chose not to find a reason for it. We were happy (most of the time), spent a lot of time together gathering a host of memories (both sweet and bitter) and life was indeed a bed of roses. But we are all humans, the fact that we are who we are today, is because of our species managed to evolve over time. So over 7 years, I supposed we changed… we morphed… we evolved.

God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th, He rested. On the 7th year of my precious relationship, disaster struck. For the first time in my life, I was put into a situation whereby I need to think and choose and shit!... I needed find at least a reason why I have loved this girl for 7 years. You may be thinking right now, that I have been playing a fool for the those 7 years. Hell no!!! I treated my ex better than my family, and I am not going to start by telling you the sacrifices I have made for her.

After 7 years together, when it matters most, I couldn’t find a reason to love her. I loved her for no reason and as such, there was no reason why I should stop loving her. Like the final sand falling down from the top of the hourglass, 7 years came to an end, like a flash.

No, I am not here to tell you why it ended or how it ended. The notion here is, are we supposed to love someone with a reason? And if that reason disappears over time, will we have to stop loving that someone?

After the break-up, I discussed this with another friend, and she told me is it crucial to have a reason to love someone. This is because when there is a need for it, when it matters most, when we need to reassess our position, we know why we love our partner, we know why we put up to all our partner’s shit and most importantly, we know we have something to fall back on. We know, despite everything, we love our partner for something.

So are you going to love someone without a reason? Just in case if that someone ceases to give you that reason, you will still love your him/her?

Or are you going to find an ultimate reason to love someone? So that whatever happens, you know why you love him/her.

Such a predicament… isn’t it?
