If age is a factor for consideration, assume that you are 27 right now. Financial wise, assume that you at your current financial capacity with the option to borrow realistically. Try to be as real as possible. Under these circumstances…
How much would you pay in order to be able to play the guitar like John Mayer (or Jason Mraz – whoever you think is better) in 6 months?
How much would you pay in order to be able to play tennis like Roger Federer (or Rafael Nadal – whoever you think is better) in 6 months?
How much would you pay to obtain the body of your dream in 6 months? I am not referring to plastic surgery in case you’re wondering; just plain hard work with guidance from a very good instructor and nutritionist.
How much would you pay in order to be able to play football like Cristiano Ronaldo (or Kaka – whoever you think is better) in 6 months?
How much would you pay to be able to able to sing like Celine Dion or Charlotte Church or Michael Bublé or Josh Groban in 6 months?
How much value do you see in the above?

As I'm a person who sees fashion and food as my life, I don't think I will pay for all of those above but instead try to work it out my own.
Maybe I would consider paying to get a healthier body though but not a big sum.
If it is guaranteed that with my payment I will get those things, then I would pay any amount I can afford for all of the above (except number 3 cuz that's just dumb) since the potential income is much much higher.
Hmmm... I think you can pay however much you want, but to get the results you need to do most of the work... the instructors can only give you the technique.
That said, if you think you can do it, then by all means pay as much as you want to get what you want :)
I would rather pay for my studies :D
Dear Zewt, I'd pay anything for my parents, my siblings and my nephews. Most of the time, i rather see how much i spend outside my body - eternally energise my soul!
Take care Zewt!
as much as u can earn to play the guitar, sing a song, take ur shirt off and play tennis..
i dun wana be any of those!!
=P
i just wana have enuff money for me to rest for the next 6 mths! =P
err ... how come the instructor still be an instructor if he is so damn good?
He himself can be Ronaldo, Celine dion, blah blah ... and make ton of money.
This remind me of a lot of advertisement in the newspaper eg. how to make 1800% p.a while you asleep, terra option trading, Formula 1 forex, e-millionaire, etc.
Kah .. kah .. kah ..
no more than 15k (USD). and still, we wouldn't be able to play like john mayer or roger federer. includes singing and football there's an element of talent necessary in there that practice won't get u.
but plastic surgery can get u a prettier face.
but USD15k can get u a good body from just pure hard work n a good trainer.
i will see the value as immeasurable. something about health and looks- money can't quite buy.
Value for each and every activities mentioned are defined by every sweat and tears one pours into it.
Money cant define the effort.
none..the above activities are need to put in too much effort..
kekeke..maybe u shud add this: how much would you pay to haf dinner with Taufik..then it might get me to consider..
I'll pay anything to be able to invest like Warren Buffett.
cindy khor - how much is not a big sum then?
vincent - haha... pls state an amount lah.
Terra Shield - well, results guaranteed, i forgot to put that piece of info in.
lisalicious - hahaha... so practical...
Fi-sha - that's really noble. kudos.
constantly craving joe - how much is that?
huei - woooaaah... so modest meh?
leno - hahaha... this is just some questions to test the meaning of value...
imp - ahh... one who finally put in a value. yes, no doubt, some level of talent is involved but.... that is not a point of consideration here.
ngy - what if effort is not required?
neno - not lin dan?
leyaw - hahahahaha... if you have money to invest like him, you think paying for anything is a problem.
it's priceless,bro!
no la..nv like him..wakakaka..
anon @ 14/4 8.03 - hahaha... still, have to state a price lah...
neno - hmmm... taufik boyish look... still sell eh?
wakakaka..sure..
i simply can not afford those luxuries *sob sob*
thanks for doing this survey, zewt. Ive concluded from asking these questions that people are generally NOT adept to placing a value on stuff. Esp things that they are not familiar with.
I find it better to twist the question around and put yourself in the position of the instructor. How MUCH WOULD YOU want your customer to pay if you could do it for them all these things? (taking into account the hard work and preparation)
neno - :)
teis - that bad? cannot be right... you work for a fortune 500 company! :)
G - how much are u expecting then?
I would charge RM120 per one-on-one session. Three times a week, that would be around RM8000++.
That's RM20 above market rate. The kind of training done by the big gyms where they DON'T guarantee results.
It's funny how people think they must force themselves to work out. If I'm a trainer, I'm also a motivator. I think good trainers can make it interesting for cilents.
Of course, the general public won't pay fees like that. They don't even know why they need health and fitness so much. Until later...
G - are u sure hard work is not required?
i will pay 3k!!! honestly!
as long as results are guaranteed.
