First, ARK check… how many still remember what am I talking about here? I sincerely hope the Act of Random Kindness continues; and I will begin the week believing that my entry did create some chain of kindness in the last few days… can?
Anyway, I understand that there are times when it is just very difficult, or sometimes, impossible for us to bring out the kind heart in us. These are the times when our patience is stretched to the fullest and we are on the verge of ‘bursting’, metaphorically speaking. How then can we do an ARK in such situation?
Try this… next time you land yourself in such situation… the best ARK you can do is to be kind… to yourself. Sometimes, we react to things rather easily. Instead, we should respond to the situation. Try not to let the dark side get the best of you. Refusing to let your blood pressure right and burst… is the best act of kindness you can do yourself. At least that’s what I think. No doubt, may not be applicable all the time.
Last but not least… “whack” check… Many of you commented saying that you enjoyed the game. How many of you actually manage to get all 17 whacking tools? Some of my colleagues are stuck at 14 the last I heard. For those who has yet to reach 17… keep trying, but don’t let your boss catch you doing it…

y'day i help my mummy cut her nail and doing a pedicure treatment for her as she hardly cutting it herself nowaday .. does this consider ARK ?
today i catch a baby on time when he going to fall down in the mall while their parents not pay attention to him even he was still learning how to walk .. does this consider too ??
and lastly .. today one of my friend told me i'm pretty but abit FAT and i didnt even scold him a "dirty" words but i smile and thanks to him does this consider too ??? haa~~

A favor to myself - I get really worked up when I'm running late. So I'm going to try to leave a few minutes earlier than I normally do. It'll help cut the stress.

Since i have read your post, I have probably did about 10 ARKs, at least those I counted. ARK is not impossible, never.
Sometimes, a smile to a lonely girl, a dollar to a pennyless family, a comment to discouraged blogger, a wink to a cheeky kid, and a short chat to a granny - is all it takes to brigten someone's life.
:) Never get discouraged. ARK is not just about doing favors, driving cars or lending money.:)

Totally agree... sometimes we need to show kindness to ourselves. Not easy but certainly do-able.
I need something more physical. The game didn't work for me. ;p just kidding. I still find my boss tolerable. Still.
Actually, the whack thing is kind of cruel. So much blood and gore. Honestly, after locating and playing those 17 ways, I have to conclude that bosses are human and they really don't deserve any of those ill wills despite how much we hate their actions at times.
Anyway, ARK should be directed to others not ourselves because we love ourselves too much to see those around us.
If loving/being kind to others is so difficult, then we have to examine ourselves to see if there is something wrong with us.
I haven't tried whacking again since my first try - stuck at 16. Will need to do it again this week when I've got nothing to do.
Speaking of ARK's, am happy to say that am still carrying on with it! :D
This Sunday, I made more than just 1 ARK - mainly while driving : giving way to others to pass, letting a**holes cross the road where they shouldn't, giving a lift to an old guy walking to the same place I was going to. WOW!

hmmm here's a suggestion....
try an ARK on the most hated person in your company/environment. it is easy to be kind to a stranger, but to be kind to the meanest person you know, that's really stretching your patience.

1) making time to attend my EX's wedding eve dinner buffet at his hse
2) attending his cip san leong in the morning
3) helping out with his attendance list during the wedding dinner even tho i was a guest (can u imagine how odd it looked? all his friends know me n there i was telling them which table number they were seated at)
4) drank on behalf of the bride n groom (who can't drink) with the friends
all this whilst i was rushing on a project for work....so do i pass?
