Appreciate prayers for my knee

My boots were slightly broken since the game last week; perhaps it was a sign. I wasn’t even challenging for the ball, was just running and tried to change direction.

I heard a “crack” and the next thing I knew, I felt like my left knee has been cracked open with a dagger.

Initial assessment indicated that the meniscus was torn but not too sure about the anterior cruciate ligament. I will have to wait for the swelling to subside before going for a MRI. Then the extent of the damage will be clearer.

Appreciate prayers that the ACL is still intact and not ruptured. If it is ruptured, it will be surgery and a kiss goodbye to active sports. Many thanks.

Will pray for you Zewt. I'm hitting 30 myself and already constantly feeling tired with white hair had been popping out like crazy. Speedy recovery!

Ouch, take care dude. I just got a huge bruise from futsal today, so I better not complain about it since you're feeling worse

Oh my, you are in the personal wars of pain. I am so sorry. Was it just blood being taken or was there some drainage happening?

My thoughts are with you. Look after yourself, do not try to do too much.

You'll tell us how you get on won't you.

wish u well my friend.

ps: interesting to note how things are done so differently in msia compared to oz- like why is there no sterile field when performing a joint aspiration (risk of joint sepsis), no gloves (???!!)... even in the countryside in oz, we made sure we were sterile at least.

aku ingat aku masih boleh melakukan 'turning' dan dribble waktu main futsal.

lepas main, aku insaf dan terpaksa terima hakikat yang aku dah... boleh bermain macam old timer. duh!

get well soon!

Get well soon mate.

As with any serious injury, don't slack on your physio sessions. It pays off in leaps and bounds down the track in terms of flexibility and conditioning.

In Jesus' name you shall be healed and whole and your knee fully restored :)

Get well soon zewt. Hope it's not the ACL! Been there, done that, and seriously, the worst thing ever to happen. Take care!

no sterile field?!?!? wtf, the knee is one joint you don't want to get infected!

take care man, and please let your friendly ed doctor aspirate the knee for you, in a sterile field.
