Should you tell the girl?

Imagine if you were at your work place, and there were 2 big bosses having a heated discussion next to your place. The discussion did not concern you but since it was a heated and rather loud discussion, you can’t help but to take notice.

But in trying to pick up what exactly was the issue, you inadvertently noticed that one of the big bosses did not zip up her skirt. There was a rather “significant” exposure. And the reason why you noticed was because they were standing and you were in a seated position.

The question is… will you tell? If there are similar situation, regardless of the type of “exposure”, will you tell?

Generally, when a girl is in similar situation, would you want the guy to tell?

Thinking from your point of view (as in the unrelated fella sitting nearby), you might kena fire for no reasons if you just stand up and tell her. :S

I would tell her. That would be a gentlemanly thing to do, right? I mean, you are actually doing the lady a favor so that she doesn't carry on "showing off" to all and sundry the whole day till she reached home. Right?

One time when i was in the lift (full of people)I told this well-endowed lady her that her shirt 3rd AND 4th button was undone, she thank me profusely and said " Wow,you are a real gentleman!Other people are not so kind as you."

The other guys (and ladies) just looked away when she said this.

depends. if it the same gender, i would do it.

however, if it is the other gender, i would personally feel awkward. this is my personal reason. nothing to do with gender bias.

if he is my boss, i will inform his secretary. and if he is one of my friends, i will inform other guys and let them do it. i just feel uncomfortable telling guys straight into their face. i hate it when guys running around having the assumption that girls always stare at their 'parts'. well, cant help it if we accidentally saw isnt?

I would prefer you asked other female staff to tell me. I don't think I will tell the opposite sex of the undone zipper too.

I agree with Linda.. Pull aside another female staff and ask her to tell.. hehe...

ooh interesting. I was just faced with this situation yesterday. one mngr has her skirt up (stuck to her underwear)and I spotted it, quickly ran to her, push her to a corner and pull down her skirt.

i would..
- take a piece of paper,
- write to tell anonymously,
- fold not to disclose the content.
- then pass it to her, saying someone pass it.
- then pretend i don't know anything, didn't see anything

That way, it's less embarrassing for her.

Yes..Should!!

Allow me to share with you my rather WTF embarassing x100000000 encounter..

One day after my class, i decided to drop by library to borrow some books, then i stopped by cafe and book shop before I finally headed to attend a meeting..

Middle of the meeting, a Malay MALE colleague signalled me to leave the room

HIM "Chloe, I think your skirt is unzipped"

My mind went BLANK instantly..dashed to the toilet..and WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
the zip of my skirt was spoilt..and i was basically exposed~~

I'm not sure how many HUNDRED pairs of eyes had witnessed that (imagine i'd basically roamed the entire uni earlier on)..And why had no one come forward to tell me??!!!!!!!!!

I locked myself in the office and cried my lung out for the next two hours!!!

Why??!! Coz I was blardy wearing a TRANSPARENT, NETTED undie that day.

To make things worse...THERE WAS A HOLE ON MY UNDIE!! WTF

Catch 22 situation. I think if you (or the guy) was the only person there, then you could tell her directly, but if there are quite a number of other people there, get some help from a girl. Easier that way for everyone.

LOL!

funny coincidence! i jus wrote something along this line...like an hour ago!

yes, tell the girl! dats what my boy did - not that we're gonna do anything bout it tho :)

p/s: wots r ur thoughts on devils chances eh? im not feeling too good! :(

i'd ask a girl to convey the msg to that lady. it'd be less embarrassing that way for her.

sinlady said...

must tell lah. and i suppose you should do the telling rather than draw attention of one more other person (female).

fufu said...

hahahaha... i will 100% tell her/him =p but secretly...

Crankster said...

I would probably avoid telling her in front of her opponent. It would fluster her, then she will be angry with you!! :-)

jam said...

Ask a female colleague to tell her.

Ninja said...

Yes but discreetly...and prob better to tell a female coll to tell her unless you're close to tht person :p

Carrie McGorgeous said...

i would normally.

But seeing that she's in a heated argument and all, i'd hazard that the timing isn't right.

You might just 'kena' for nothing and she'd feel extra embarrassed cos she'd be in a defensive mode from her arguing and all.

So anyways, did you tell her or not?

ahhaha erm..yeah..get a girl to tell her! i would want a girl to tell me too. what about u? would u mind or feel embarassed if a girl told u ur fly's open? =P

day-dreamer - hahaha... definitely! and that's a boss of fury.

uncle james - they were probably "looking" before you told her that.

anon aka the nurse - hmmm.. the mysterious nurse again... what if the secretary is not around. clearly, in the case above, the secretary is on another floor.

Linda - haha... then more ppl will know...

Zurin - you are only spreading the news...

eiling lim - stuck to her underwear?!!?? wow!

zewt said...

anon @ 16/4 4.32pm - now, that's really thoughtful.

Chloe Teah - oooookkkkkaaaayyyyyyy... now, transparent netted undie is no good when your skirt zip is spoilt hahah!

Terra Shield - what if there was no girl around?

bee - hmm... i shall go read that. as for devil's chances...well, it took a twist, didnt it?

kyh - seems like that's the preferred option.

sinlady - exactly!

zewt said...

fufu - how...? :P

Crankster - and knowing her, she is quite the angry type haha.

jam - spreading the news lor.

sabrina - hahaha... okies, that is the all time fav solution.

Carrie McGorgeous - precisely, heated argument is an influencing factor. it was not me, by my colleague, and he didnt tell.

huei - so far... my fly open thingy all told by guy so... dunno how it feels if a girl tell me haha

It's a lose-lose situation: If you tell, you will help but embarrass them. If you don't, they may embarrass themselves more, but maybe not and everything will be fine. I'd rather be quiet and ogle, haha.

Just shut up and ignore.

If the woman is a grumpy "meanie", just let it be, let it be, etc etc... no need to whisper words of wisdom :P

zewt said...

MKL - ogle... depends on how the girl looks like right? :P

Jerine - shut up ok... but ignore...

j_yenn - hahaha... let it be then... it was the right decision then i am sure.
