Since the new increased pay scale just kicked in on 1 July 2007, I reckon the pay wouldn’t be that bad. And then… ya’ know… working with gomen! Means no overtime! Yay! Hmmm… I wonder if they will allow their writer to work from home.
I wonder when the application form will be out, cause I think I wanna apply for the job. Imagine get into office, read stuff on the cyber-world… read more stuff… do some analysis… make a report… do more analysis… write up an article wiith something subtle to counter all those ‘lies’ in the cyber-world.
Oh wait… I think that seems like the working requirement of the modern slavery world… working with gomen doesn’t carry a slavery culture… it will probably be something like…Get into office… go for breakfast… come back read newspaper… go for tea… come back check mail… go for lunch… take a nap… call your bf or gf to tell them you’re sleepy… check mail… go afternoon tea… then really read some stuff of the net… and… issue a statement like “ALL BLOGGERS ARE LIARS!”… ahh… a job well done. Don’t you just love such job.

Me, me, me... I want to blog full-time and get paid for putting crap out there (All Bloggers are liars!). hahaha
Let me know when the application form comes out. Sounds ideal. I can do it from home. After all, if we have internet connection at home, we do not need to go in an office to blog. We can do it in our pyjamas (and whatever else other people use.. or don't use! :D).
I swear to uphold the 'gomen' culture of "jomm ..pergi minum" (come, let's go and drink) if the job requires me to blog from home. Wake up, drink coffee, read blogs, run to bathroom (because forgot to do it when I first woke up),analyse, have breakfast, go back to computer, scratch head, analyse, write up an article and slam a blogger who said my big boss got no brains, drink coffee, watch TV, back to computer and do my emails, oh.. forgot lunch, ok late lunch break which spills over to tea. ... woo hoo.. my day is done. Where is my pay cheque? Hey! I got extra this month.. what's this? A pay raise? I am so glad I served my country. :D

Last time i went to immigration deparment in Putra Jaya. What happened was, it only left me and another couple to pay the fees and it was 4:30pm already. And then i asked the counter when will it be our turn to pay it. Then the Malay girl said, "pay tomoorw, 4:30pm already, must count the money now, bus will leave at 4.45pm to go home! You say lah..
But imagine i'm in their position, what a great job to do..All things can do slow and steady..No rush..Kekekkee..What a great job.
Back to your job application, you should try it too! I think your life will change if you really got the job!! :P

Not that I think working with the 'gomen' is the best job i've EVER had but I actually work in the gomen and although the eat-chat-eat-look busy-wait for 5pm pattern might apply to MANY agencies, not all of us have that, er, privilege.
On top of that, I work plenty of overtime hours (in the words of my boss, "If you cannot finish, you stay back la") AND i don't get OT allowance.It's taken me years to get a mere RM500 pay rise and that's simply because I got promoted (one year increment is only RM90. Please shoot me). don't get me wrong, I totally know what you mean about the laid-back attitude of some ppl in the gomen.
But there are some of us who are worked to the bone and I believe in what I do, even if it's not appreciated by my superiors. Like that saying, "If I'm not a monkey, why am I being paid peanuts?"
not a bad idea tho. cause you enjoy writing and at the same time get paid. talking bout a dream job, man. go zewt. :)

Working with the gomen sux, bcoz they are 90% LAZY, especially when you are trying to get some of them to do stuff for u, they are so sub-standard.. no such thing as planning, or coordination or teamwork, or the simple willingness to work. trust me, ive done it before 1st hand.. and the salary is seriously underpaid beyond comprehension..
They will have to beg me and pay me a six-figure income every month. I am one helluva good blogger for them, you know? Cos I can write about lies like life itself. (to Zewt's readers, I am joking partially)
I wouldn't mind doing that part time, haha! I'd love those tea breaks, 10 times a day...

Of course I do. Working with the garmen is the easiest way to earn money, you know. I dont have to use my brain, I have unlimited tea-breaks, long lunch breaks, plan my vacation in advance, ask people to refer to another department when I'm lazy, get pay rise occasionally, etc...
