Haze?????

There are numerous occasions where I see things or read the news and they continuously remind me the need to migrate. Nothing beats what I read yesterday over the net.

The Malaysian Insider reported that our very own Director General of Department of Environment made
a statement regarding the haze... “Since it is the dry season now, the air becomes dry and hazy but it doesn’t mean that haze is coming back”. This is truly the mother of all statement. Why doesn't he just said... "Looks like haze, smells like haze, feels like haze. But it's not haze"? At least we can laugh about it.

Open burning… 99% of buses emitting black smoke… 3 in every 5 motorcycles emitting white smoke… How much improvement do you think we will see if all these are curbed? Alas, no action is taken. Rather, an anti-intelligence statement is shoved down our throat.

But for most, the throat can take it, for it has been numbed by the chilly of the tasty nasi lemak… numbed by the lard of the sumptuous bak-kut-teh… numbed by the prawns of that wonderful char-kuey-teow.

I truly missed the time when I was
breathing clean air for 10 days.

Haze... The air gets dirtier and dirtier. Soon we'll have kiosks or vending machines which sell clean air.

I find it silly that they can make such a statement that its not haze. Do they even understand what haze is? Hmm... How competent are the ppl at the meteorological dept?

I feel like clobbering the DG of DOE for making such a statement.

Oh, that was a dumb statement indeed. I heard something on the radio, though... they said be prepared for drier and hazier days. Apparently El Nino is here...

Just wondering, with the air so much fresher down there, how come you are still here? If I have the chance, I would be gone from here as fast as I can.

I hope it'll rain soon! No rain and very hot nowadays.

aiya, wat he means is tat this haze is not come frm forest, so this is not tat haze, so if u worry its tat haze from forest, then its not, so no worry

he is talking in the above context, NOT in concern of the health effect of the current air condition, ok?

lol~

LOL... meaning you've been informed, so don't complain. I think that's the most suitable definition at the moment.

Ah! It is good that you've thought about that factor. I just heard from the news that unemployment rate keeps rising. Even NSW state(where Sydney is) used to be a job machine state now seems in bad shape.

In this case my friend, you definitely have made the right decision to migrate to a greener pasture!

eh i din comment?

As far as I know they just warned us about El Nino striking us soon. So far I have not heard of any precautions or anything. Pardon me if I'm wrong coz I rarely read the newspapers lol.

I've been thinking, if all of us are counting on the government to make a move as to how are we going to protect ourselves from this catastrophe, aren't we a little oblivious? Maybe I'm one of them, but it's just my head thats hit the idea. We could all take the initiatives to make it all better. How do we make it all better without being pushed by anybody else.

Tough, I know. Sad fact.

Terra Shield - haha... i am SOOOO informed.

Ai Shiang - that's why... need to consider all factors before making a move.

jam - haha... indeed.

Huei - hahaha... fresh... can go jogging eh?

Jacy - good point. our govt go to international environment conference and made all kinda pledges... come back and does nothing. we must do something ourselves. i guess the eco enzyme bit is a good start.
