A new criterion

Looks like the metamorphosis of slaves is really beginning to take its toll on some slave masters. Apparently, the rise of “The New Breed” is causing problems in companies which thrive on squeezing the very last bit of life out of modern slaves. Well, with the rise of The New Breed, they don’t really fall within the definition of modern slaves anyway, no?

And so some companies are actually taking some measures to ensure that they recruit at least “The Transitional Generation”, and try to avoid The New Breed as much as possible. How are they doing that?

Apparently, they have included an unwritten rule in the recruitment policy. They believe that this particular information in the CV will somehow help them segregate the The New Breed out.

And this particular criteria is…

Cheras… Can consider…
SS2, PJ… This is a tough one…
Mont Kiara… Only select if we have no choice…
Seremban… definitely can consider…
Malacca… definitely can consider…
Penang… HIGHLY potential!
Ipoh… HIGHLY potential!
Taiping… MUST recruit!
Subang/Sunway… hmmm, another tough one…
Damansara Heights / Tropicana…. BAN!!!

Get the drift?

P/S: Zewt did not intend to offend anyone, just in case.

  1. Well, soon they will run out of stock of modern slaves, and then what are they gonna do? Seriously, we modern slaves must change our ways. I promise to leave work latest by 6:30 pm today. If I don't then, err... there's no more hope for me!

  8. This applies to all companies across the nation or just within K.L?

If it's K.L, I could understand the fear. Although ironically, the company I'm going to intern in took only people from Selangor.

Oh well, we are scaaary and I live in hmmm another tough one.

  11. Good to know the average Malaysian is wising up to the fact that it's just plain stupid to work for peanuts.

Asians are regarded by Caucasians as natural selection for slaves. No one else is stupid enough to do it.

  20. cham.. in order to increase my chances of being recruited, I need to change my address?? :-P

although i'm an old fart somewhere in mid-management but then, with such "policies" i might be bundled in with the new breed and hence, be segregated out!

  21. Hahaha - Hey Zewt! How's it goin'?
I guess it's similar to Msian working in Spore? Many employers in Spore prefers Msian workers because we are considered desperate when we go there...

At least we r being appreciated la(Im from Seremban), in Thailand, job seekers from other northern provinces just end up being taxi drivers in Bangkok, even though they are qualified..

Please tell the employers, my family may afford living in Damansara Heights doesnt mean me as the child will suck and suck like a leech till its dry...Hmmph!

  22. LOL!! I am from Taiping worr.. so does that mean.. I am willing to work hard for peanuts? LOL!
